1. Eliminate Soap Scum from Shower Glass

If you have cloudy and dull looking shower glass or bathtub, you probably have soap scums.

When you use soap in hard water, the magnesium and calcium reacts with the soap and form insoluble substances (soap scums) and is impossible to remove by elbow grease

But here's what you can do:

Grab 1/2 cup of white vinegar, 1 cup of water, 1 tbsp of dawn dish soap and a spray bottle

1. Fill the spray bottle with all 3 ingredients.
2. Spray on your glass shower or bathtub
3. Let the solution sit for 15-25 minutes
4. Grab a damp sponge and start wiping
5. Rinse with water and let it dry

This mixture causes the soap scum to dissolve, making it easy to remove while leaving a fresh smell behind.

2. Freshen up Your Home Instantly

The next time you clean the floor, add 1-2 tbsp of dawn dish soap into your mop bucket

This will get your floor smelling fresh and clean in no time.

You can use this on any types of flooring, such as: linoleum, vinyl, ceramic tiles, hard wood and more!

3. Remove Engine Grease Fast

Grab some Dawn

Get a large tub or bucket, fill with water and add a small amount of dawn. (Just enough so you can feel the water feels smooth between your fingers)

Soak your tools in the tub for about 20 minutes before washing and rinsing off

For tools with part prone to rusting or joints, spray some WD-40.

Tips: If your hand is stained with grease, add dawn soap directly to your hands and rub them off.

 

4. Repel Ants Effectively

Have uninvited pest that you want to get rid of?

Here's a safe and simple solution using Dawn dish soap

Grab a cup of hydrogen peroxide, 1 tsp dawn dish soap and 1 spray bottle

Combine the ingredients and spray directly on countertops, floors, sinks and places you think the ants are hiding.

This solution create a hostile environment for the ants causing them to flee from your home quickly.

 

5. Freshen up Your Trash Can

Your trash is probably the dirtiest appliance in the house and needs regular cleaning to prevent germs and odor buildup.

The next time you are cleaning your trash can, pour a tbsp of dawn dish soap into it and run warm water over it.

Leave it to soak for an hour before rinsing with water.

This will remove sticky residues, grease and eliminates the foul smell.

 

6. Turn Your Eyeglass into HD Mode

if your glasses are cloudy and you are constantly trying to rub it clean with your shirt only to make it worst.

Then, you need some dawn spray

Grab a small spray bottle and fill with 1 tbsp of water and cleaning alcohol and add 2-3 drops of dawn,

Spray your glasses and clean gently with a microfiber cloth

This spray solution melts the grease and completely sterilises your glasses for a clearer vision.

 

7. Enhance Your DIY Manicure

You can instantly get better manicure by removing excess oil from your fingernails with dawn.

Here's how:

1. Fill a bowl with warm water and add 2-3 drops of dawn dish soap.
2. Soak your hands in the solution for about 2 minutes.
3. Rinse and dry your fingers

8. Deep Clean Your Comb & Brushes

Here's a simple recipe to get them deep cleaned!

Fill a small bucket with warm water and add 4 parts of dawn dish soap, 1 part olive oil and some water.

Dab the makeup brush into the solution and rub the brush hair between your fingers.

Let it sit for awhile and finally rinse off with water.

This solution melts the grease and nasty stuffs, leaving your comb fresh and clean.

 

9. Leak or Puncture Detector

If you want to know if your have a tiny puncture in your bicycle or vehicle tyre, then using some dawn will reveal the truth!

You want to mix some dawn dishwashing soap with water then, brush the area of the tyre you think is puncture.

If you see bubbles forming on the surface of your tyre then you know you have a puncture and take remedy actions.

 

10. Use it as a Lubricant

Do you have annoying door and window squeaks? If so, use some dawn as the lubricant.

Simply add a drop of dawn onto your door hinge or window rails and you'll stop the squeaking noise for good!

In case you are concerned, dawn does not cause your hinge to go rusty or corrode and they work just as well as oil lubricant.

 

11. Wash Sticker Residue Away

Sometimes you really want to keep that glass jar but removing the label made it look really ugly.

Here's what you can do

1. Simply wet the area and drop 2-3 drops of dawn dish soap and spread it over the sticker residue.
2. Wait for 10 minutes before rubbing it with your finger.
3. Next, watch the residue melt away 

Rinse and you have a clean looking glass jar!

 

12. Remove Oil Based Paint

After painting your home, you probably end up with a hand full of paint and have to resort to scrubbing it with thinner solution.

So why not prevent it from happening?

Before you paint, apply some dawn onto your hands and arms, let it dry.

This makes removing paint stain so much easier.

• 1 fluid ounce of dawn dish soap
• 2 fluid ounce of hydrogen peroxide
• 1-2 Tablespoon Baking Soda
• Mixing Bowl

Create a paste by mixing all the ingredients together in a bowl ensuring that the paste is slightly wet but not too wet!

Apply the paste onto the stained and grime area 

Let the paste sit for 20-40 minutes

Use a scrub sponge to clean the affected area.

Wipe with a damp cloth, followed by drying your oven or cookware with a dry cloth.

15. Dissolve Armpit Stains Instantly

To remove Armpit stains, you'll need 2 ingredients:

1 part dawn dish soap + 2 parts hydrogen peroxide

Mix these 2 ingredients together and apply it to the stained laundry.

Allow it to sit for an hour before scrubbing and placing it into your regular wash

16. Clean Upholstery Stains

If you have guest, then it's probably important to take care of your couch since it will be the first thing they go to!

But first,

You want to make a spray

Combine a cup of white vinegar, a cup of warm water and 1 tablespoon of dawn dish soap into a clear spray bottle.

Spray at the stained area and scrub with a cloth until the stain goes away.

 

17. Remove Chewing Gum From Hair

If you ever come into a situation where you have chewing gum stuck on your hair.

Don't panic and Don't cut them yet!

Dry massaging the affected area with dawn soap dish and let it sit for a few minutes.

Afterwards, the gum should start to disintegrate and will eventually come off

  

18. Clean & Freshen Up Your Fridge

I'm sure you won't like to have your fridge smelling sour and all weird right?

The next time you clean your fridge, wipe the interior with some dawn soap water so keep it cleaned.

Here's how to do it

Fill a spray bottle with 1-2 drops of dawn dish soap and spray it on the shelf partition and sides

Scrub with a damp sponge and wipe it clean with a clean damp cloth.

This should sterilize and noticeably freshen up your refrigerator 

 

19. Clean your Grill

If your BBQ grill is stained with thick oil and grease that is impossible to remove then you need some dawn.

Start by mixing filling up large bucket with hot water and then, add 3-4 tablespoon of dawn soap (remember to stir).

Soak your BBQ grill in the bucket for about 20-30 minutes before removing it to scrub.

The grease and char should come off pretty easily and you'll have fresh and clean grill bars again for your next BBQ!

20. Unclog Your Toilet

Are you surprised that the dawn dish soap can unclog your toilet?

So am i, Here's how you can do it:

• Boil a Kettle of Water
• Pour a cup of dawn into the toilet bowl and wait for 15-25 minutes
• After 15-25 minutes, pour the hot kettle of water into the toilet bowl
• Scrub the inside of the bowl before flushing it down.

This should clear the clog and get the toilet flush working again.

 

21. Eliminate Hair Products from Your Hair

If you use hair products almost everyday, then it might be beneficial to get rid of those chemical buildup.

Just mix a bit of dawn dish soap into your shampoo and wash your hair as usual.

Add some hair conditioner after the wash so soften your hair again

Do this every month to ensure your hair stays clean and fresh.
